On 31st March 2007 the
Gonenkai Trustees decided they could no longer sustain the Gonenkai in
its traditional form and passed the batten for arranging links with
Japan to the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty Japanese Department at
County Upper School.
In order that all pupils could be involved it was decided that trips to
Japan in future would be open to all, whether learning Japanese or not
under the embrella of the County Upper School Japan Exchange Programme (CUSJEP).
Trips to Japan are now for two weeks in the autumn and our three link
schools visit as: Keio Shonan Fujisawa Campus Junior and Senior High
Schools together with the Keio Institute International Division in
August and February; Hyogo Prefectural International High School in
October and Oita Senior High School in December.
Reports from the various CUSJEP activities will be posted from time to
time.
